A Date

We ventured bravely into the night.

Our new home was demanding escape.

Sitting in a restaurant bathed in florescent light,

We began to heal from the trauma of change.

Healing felt like an undercurrent.

Fried chicken before us, these walls felt like a therapist’s office.

Courageous conversations began to unwrap themselves.

Normal doesn’t come easy in a place so new.

Yet, it was a drug worth chasing.

On a starless night in one of LA’s suburbs, we came close.

Walking back toward our car, a bar seemed like the next logical choice.

The turmoil of moving was beginning to subside.

Be good to each other,

Nathan
