I am too smart to be a glorified event planner.

8/30/21

I really don’t want to be a fundraiser anymore.

8/27/21

We’ve been conditioned to respond. We can condition ourselves to choose a different reaction.

8/26/21

I think I have become addicted to radical change.

8/25/21

I just need one friend.

8/24/21

I honestly feel like no one wants to be around me.

8/23/21

On Saturday, I played Urban Explorer in Ballard for a piece I am writing. I haven’t been that happy in Seattle in a long time.

8/20/21

Being there when my friends needed me the most has been the greatest honor of my life.

8/19/21

I took a big step today toward rectifying the financial challenges of the last two years.

8/18/21

I should have asked him to move to California for himself, but not for me.

8/17/21

I will not be a blank check Democrat.

8/16/21

I am heartbroken for the people of Afghanistan.

8/13/21

Wildfires, floods, unbreathable air, disease… We’ve created a hellscape for ourselves.

8/12/21

Where we make our stand and plant roots deep into the ground, is a decision deeply dependent on Brandon.

8/11/21

I am back after a long weekend in Napa Valley and San Francisco. As I sit here attempting to capture the most persistent thought running through my mind, I can only think of how much I miss California and the people I met there.

8/5/21

Tomorrow, we begin a long weekend in the Bay area which will see us bounce back and forth between San Francisco and Napa Valley. To say I am excited to explore and get back to a place I dearly love would be an understatement.

8/3/21

I am so ready to get back to California.

Be good to each other,

Nathan

Nathan Box
Hello! My name is Nathan. I've always believed I would meet that special someone in one of two places; either a record store or a book store. Maybe I need to amend? I moved to Seattle in February of 2011 from Oklahoma City (Try and not hold the Sonics/Thunder thing against me). I knew I wanted to work for a nonprofit and go to grad school. Within a couple of months, I was doing both. During the day, I work as a Fund Developer and Community Relations Manager for a nonprofit in Kent and at night I try to stay as busy as possible volunteering, trying new restaurants, finding hidden bars and exploring Seattle. The past few years has been both terrifying and exhilarating. I have done things on my own I didn’t think were within my capability. I love being outdoors. On any given weekend, I can be found hiking, on a road trip, volunteering, at a museum, seeing a movie (I see a lot of them). I am passionate about nonprofit work. I feel called to leave a mark on this world. Nothing against those who enjoy making tons of money, I just need to know I am making a difference.
