I am blown away by the story that can be told in less than 40 minutes. "Parvaneh," "Boogaloo and Graham," "Aya," "The Phone Call," and "Butter Lamp" all tell powerful, heartwarming stories. Focused on a clash of cultures, a new pet, an awkward meeting, a suicide hotline and family photos, each one of these stories were unique and different. Most were relegated to the indie or film festival circuit which means none of them got or will get the attention they deserve. In all honesty, this is my first year to seek these short films out, but this year was an education. I will never let them pass me by again.
Thanks for entering my world,
